What is Blue light?
Blue light (aka High Energy Visible or HEV light) is a visible form of light emitted from our digital screens in wavelengths between 415-455nm.
Growing research has shown that prolonged cumulative exposure to digital blue light can lead to digital eyestrain and retinal damage.
How does Blue Light affect me?
Whether it's Netflix, Instagram, or Facebook, we spend hours a day staring at a digital screen. Our constant exposure to this HEV light could be contributing to headaches, migraines, dry eyes, or sore shoulders and neck---all symptoms of digital eye strain. Spending hours in front of some form of screen these days is nearly impossible to avoid...making glasses which shield our eyes from blue light exposure a great choice.
Why Blue light glasses?
Blue light also referred to as High Energy Visible (HEV) light is generally defined as visible light ranging from 380nm to 500 nm on the light spectrum. HEV light is potentially damaging to our eyes as they do not block this light well.
Blue light shield glasses PROTECT your eyes by refracting blue light from your digital screens with a specially coated lens.
